Thank you for reading and supporting, and happy running! — Kimberly

Running Lifestyle, owned by Running Lifestyle Media, is an independently owned online publication dedicated to uplifting the voices of runners, coaches, and communities who are shaping the culture of running.

Local running stores collaborate with Running Lifestyle to deliver firsthand insights on where to run, where to eat, and their city’s favorite races. Certified running coaches share valuable advice to help runners train wisely and reach their goals. And feature articles spotlight runners who are positively influencing their communities and beyond, through initiatives such as leading local run clubs, launching entrepreneurial running ventures, and designing more inclusive events.

Running Lifestyle’s mission is to inspire runners of all ages, sizes, experience levels, and backgrounds to engage more deeply with the sport they love and connect with the running community as they train, travel, and race.

About the Founder

Hi, I’m Kimberly Valentine, the founder of Running Lifestyle. This online publication was inspired by my love for exploring cities through running — finding the best routes to run, running stores to visit, and run clubs and races to participate in. It’s a lifestyle that my husband Nick and I both live. In fact, we met at a group run in Phoenix in 2013. His career in the Air Force has since led us to different areas of the country, from Washington to Georgia, where we’ve found community among fellow runners. Currently, we call Colorado Springs home.

I’m a certified running coach (RRCA) and have worked at running specialty stores. On the editorial side of my career, I’ve been a writer and editor for print and digital publications. I’ve always loved writing about travel destinations and the stories of people doing great things in this world — from athletic endeavors to launching purpose-driven businesses.

Through the content on Running-Lifestyle.com and Running Lifestyle on Substack, I hope you feel inspired to lean into your passion and explore what makes the running lifestyle so wonderful. Most of all, I hope you feel a sense of belonging as part of the running community, no matter where you are or what pace you run.
